Flooded Forest, Czolpino Poland

Remains of the oak-beech forest, which grew in this place before 3 thousand. years. After strong storms, the sea rinses out of the sand the powerful trunks of the trees, preserved by preserving salt properties. The forest, also called the dead, appears periodically on various sections of the beach

The study of exposed trunks showed that the trees burned before they were sunk. One of the hypotheses is that it was a result of the settlers. According to another 3 thousand. I had a great fire in the wilderness.
