Rainham Marshes Nature Reserve

Being part of the Thames estuary, not far from the bustling streets of London, Rainham Marshes is a paradise for all kinds of wildlife - birds, voles, dragonflies and more.
Rainham Marshes protects 411 hectares of ancient low-lying grazing swamps at the Thames estuary. The complex of wet meadows and ditches along with meadows and thickets supports many breeding and wintering birds. Wildlife also includes rare plants and insects in wetlands, as well as a key population of decreasing water vole
