Bishops’ Palace - Farnham Castle

First built in 1138 by Henri de Blois, grandson of William the Conqueror, Farnham Castle was the home of the influential Bishops of Winchester for over 900 years. It was a popular choice for meeting and celebration of many Kings and Queens of England over the centuries and the architecture reflects changing styles through out the ages.

Over the past few years, major renovation and refurbishment of the building and facilities at Farnham Castle has been undertaken, providing a stunning and truly unique setting, combining 12th century history with 21st century style.

Our stunning gardens and beautiful manicured lawns offer a tranquil haven to relax from the hustle and bustle of the outside world and with 32 comfortable bedrooms including a luxurious bridal suite the Castle can cater for parties of up to 150 people.
