Surrounded by lovely Northamptonshire countryside, Boddington Reservoir is an oasis of water, greenery and wildlife
This pleasant rural reservoir set in rolling Northamptonshire
countryside has to be one of the Canal and River Trust's most promising
fisheries - and it is living up to those promises with big nets being
taken by pleasure and match angler alike.
Boddington Reservoir was completed in 1805 to supply water
to the Oxford Canal. Since then, wildlife such as birds, insects
and wild flowers have gradually colonised the area. It’s famous
for some of the best fishing in the country and anglers regularly
make the news with record-beating catches.
