The area around Devil's Dyke is perfect for taking a walk with beautiful views of the Sussex countryside.
Early settlers on the South Downs told tales of Satan’s mischief to explain how Devil’s Dyke was formed.
If you go to the bottom of Dyke Valley, you'll find two humps of earth. The Devil and his wife are said to be buried here
Legend has it that if you run backwards around these humps seven times, holding your breath, the devil will appear.
