Bournemouth Pier on the South Coast is a fairly exposed
beach/pier break that does not work very often. Winter is the best time
of year for surfing here. The best wind direction is from the north with
some shelter here from southwest winds. Tends to receive a mix of
groundswells and windswells and the ideal swell angle is from the south
southwest. The beach break provides left and right handers. Good surf at
all stages of the tide. A popular wave that can get growded. Watch out
for rips and crowds.
I could watch for serfing long time. Sometimes they needed to wait for good wave very long time. I admire the passion for this sport
When you stand up on your first wave it is the uncontrollable, throw
your hands in the air and scream feeling, if only for a few seconds!!
Once you can ride a wave, it is the undeniable urge to go back for more,
and when you are on the beach and the sun is shining it is enormous
fun!
It is the best to start with Professional Surf Instructors
Bournemouth Surf School is situated on Bournemouth beach, 500m from Boscombe pier. It is is the only Surfing GB Centre of Excellence based on the South Coast.I could watch for serfing long time. Sometimes they needed to wait for good wave very long time. I admire the passion for this sport
