This pleasant rural reservoir set in rolling Northamptonshire 
countryside has to be one of the Canal and River Trust's most promising 
fisheries - and it is living up to those promises with big nets being 
taken by pleasure and match angler alike. 
Boddington Reservoir was completed in 1805 to supply water 
to the Oxford Canal. Since then, wildlife such as birds, insects 
and wild flowers have gradually colonised the area. It’s famous 
for some of the best fishing in the country and anglers regularly 
make the news with record-beating catches.
